200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Italy

Instructor Courses

The course is based on ancient Hatha Yoga techniques. The instructors are fully equipped to provide the insights needed to teach what will be beneficial to yoga teachers when instructing their own students. Yoga teacher training does not only enrich the learning experience but also the personal life of the learner and yoga practitioner as the benefits of yoga to the mind, body and spirit are highly positive.

Yogamea delivers their yoga teacher training program in conjunction with Rishikesh Yog Peeth to promote Hatha yoga and yoga philosophy. With the support of Rishikesh Yog Peeth in Rishikesh, India – the “birthplace of yoga”, Yogamea seeks to keep the flavour and the experience of a traditional Hatha yoga practice, with teachers joining us from Rishikesh where / when possible. The programme will be the same as that held at Rishikesh Yog Peeth where classes will include philosophy, anatomy and meditation alongside yoga asana or yoga postures.

This is an intensive yoga teacher training course taught by yoga teachers who are firmly rooted in tradition yet contemporary in their vision and communication. The 200-hour Teacher Training Course with Yogamea is conducted as a residential course to bring you the full experience of what yoga actually means and how a true yogi lives.

Yoga Teacher Training in Italy
Ethical Guidelines

Rishikesh Yoga Peeth (Yogamea in Goa or Italy) adopts the ancient approach to yoga to instil in each student the wisdom that yoga manifests.
Teaching and learning is therefore designed in such a way that ethical practices are ingrained automatically in the students at the school.

The day begins with the daily regimen (Dincharya) and ancient code of conduct. Activities are planned according to the seasonal code of conduct (Ritucharya).
The concept of behavior chemistry (Achar- rasayan) is the concept that students are expected to imbibe.

Maharishi Patanjali prescribed certain rules of how a person is expected to behave  in society (Yama) and how personal code and conduct (Niyama) is the expected and essential behavior for individuals to follow.
We at Yogamea expect this behaviour, as described above,  to be understood and practiced sincerely and honestly by all students to the best of their ability.

Before students register for the yoga teacher training they must be aware that this traditional teaching will differ from that of the west.
There could even be a fundamental difference in the understanding of the yogic path as  is taught in  yoga schools in the west.

Modified exercises that go by the name of yoga are frowned upon by Rishikesh Yog Peeth & Yogamea.  Therfore, only those students  who are willing to commit to the strict regimen of the course should sign up

Code of Conduct

Discipline is an integral part of the training program and so the course routine must be strictly observed.

Disrespect of the  rules and regulations could result in termination of studentship with no refund.

Absenting oneself from the scheduled program without prior permission from the teacher or manager concerned, would be construed as a gross breach of discipline.

A student must communicate  in advance if they intend to forgo a meal so  there is no waste of food.

Yogamea does not make arrangements for guests of students. Any activity that is not related to the course is not permitted.

Make sure  you are on time for classes – you will not be permitted to enter any class once it has commenced.

Before departure from the school, students are required to return all library books and any other articles belonging to the school.

Smoking and alcohol are not permitted during the training.

I had such a great experience with the YOGAMEA School, teachers and the hole team.
My boyfriend and I, we did a yoga retreat, and I really recommend this school!
We loved the way they practice yoga, full of love, joy, truth, professionalism and most of all the way they treated the students and the people that was joining our classes everyday. We felt really special and unique, and we got to get all the postures well done. Even with 15 or more people in a class, either Bilu and Timea were always so careful and always paying attention to all our movements to make sure that with were doing the right thing. The rooms were comfortable, clean, nice and neat. The food was amazing! I felt like home…
From the cook to the managers and teachers, the hole team, very attentive, friendly, they always received us with a smile and hug!

My Experience at Yogamea Goa was Excellent!!!

My Experience at Yogamea Goa was Excellent!! I attended the YTTC in February and hat a great time. The goal, gaining confidence to teach beginners, was absolutely fulfilled. Giving classes back home and receiving great feedback from my first students gives me the confidence to recommend Yogamea to anyone who is looking for a YogaTeacherTraining. Davide and Timi often invited guestspeakers to give interesting talks in front of the class about yoga related topics like ayurveda and the bhagavad gita. Davide and Timi are very giving, my girlfriend who didn´t attend the course was often allowed to eat with us in the school and join the drop in classes free of charge. Bilu is an amazing yoga teacher, his classes definitely brought my asanas to the next level! Prepare yourself for intensive 4 weeks, with a lot of sweat, studying and fun.
I can only say thank you to Yogamea and the great staff

Real nice, caring and professional staff + teachers. The center of Cesenatico is also very cosy and beautiful with lots of nice restaurants and is a 15 minute bike ride away and the beach is a one minute walk. You get a lot for a very friendly price. I usually never go to the same place twice for a holiday, but now I’m considering to return next year.

I feel incredibly lucky to have experienced!

I was staying a couple of doors down from Yoga Mea in Goa for two weeks in March 2016, and decided to try out the yoga there. I’m so glad I did – I feel incredibly lucky to have experienced Prahlad Singh’s classes. I’ve been doing yoga for about 18 years, and this was some of the best teaching and the most effective adjustments I’ve encountered. It took me to a new level, and I was so sorry not to have been able to stay for longer… I’m back in the UK now and I did my regular class yesterday – I felt a new freedom and openness in my body which I am so grateful for. Thank you Yoga Mea! It’s made me think seriously about doing the YTTC in the future.

The staff at the accommodation were lovely!

I just finished my yoga teacher training in Cesenatico. I cannot thank Timea and Davide for all that they did for my fellow students and I. I will admit that I did not have the greatest relationship with the guest teacher, however, the rest of the experience made up for this. With regards to the course, it is intensive, but manageable if you organise your time well. The staff at the accommodation were lovely and the school is on the beach. I intend to do more training with Yogamea school in the future. Highly recommended.
